Evidence: Gettysburg

The Battle of Gettysburg was fought July 1-3 in 1863 in and around Gettysburg Pennsylvania, The Battle involved the largest number of casualties of the entire war and is often considered the war’s turning point. The Battle ended when 12,500 confederates charged  the center of the Union line on Cemetery Ridge known as  Pickett’s charge.
